BCLL's 7-8 White All-Star finished second in the District 6 tournament and has advanced to the state championship game in Wilson, where it will face South Durham. In states, BCLL earned the No. 1 seed into bracket play, defeating Newport, North Asheville and NW Forsyth by a combined score of 35-4. The victory over Weddington in the state semifinals included a wild swing where Weddington scored eight runs in the sixth to take a three-run lead before BCLL rallied for the victory. The team posted a 5-1 record in the District tournament, winning its five games by a combined score of 74-22.
