In winning it's first State Championship since 2016, Bull City LL defeated Myers Park 6-3 in thrilling fashion in the state championship of the 10-12 Little League tournament.  BCLL trailed 3-2 heading into the sixth.  Dalton Parker led off with a solo home run to left to tie the score. Ian Goodwin and Everett Harmsen followed with walks. JonLuke Harper then doubled to center to drive in Goodwin. Sully Sebastian doubled to center to score Harmsen and Harper and close the scoring. Owen Joines went the distance for BCLL on the mound, not walking a single batter. Tyler Sharp and Grayson Dodge had earlier hits to give BCLL its first two runs.

BCLL advanced to the SE Regional championship in Warner Robins, Ga. going 2-2 in it's first week with all games televised nationally in the Regionals before falling short to Virginia 4-6 on August 7th. Overall the 10/12 State Champion All-Star team finished an incredible run in the summer going 9-3 overall between District, State and Regional tournament. The 10/12 BCLL All-Star team was one that captured the hearts of the city of Durham and the proudly represented the state of North Carolina. The team was lead by manager Robb Harmsen as assisted by Steve Sebastian and Donnie Malott.
