BCLL's 11/12 Softball team advances to state championship

HUNTERSVILLE -- Bull City finished a strong softball state tournament by losing to Rowan County 12-0 on Tuesday night. Rowan County is a strong team that has competed in the softball Little League World Series in recent years. BCLL acquitted itself well.

On Monday night, BCLL's 11/12 softball team earned a thrilling 6-4 victory over Rutherfordton to advance to the state championship against Rowan County.

Rutherfordton had the bases loaded in the final inning before BCLL turned a triple play. Cora Harmsen made a running catch in right and threw to McKenna Andrew at first for a second out. Andrew threw to Maleyva Pardo at third to complete the triple play.
