Evaluations begin Saturday at BCLL

Thank you for registering for the spring 2019 baseball or softball seasons at Bull City Little League. Evaluations are scheduled for the next two weekends at the BCLL complex at 918 Junction Rd.

The times and dates for evaluations are listed below. Attendance is strongly encouraged for all league age 6 players and above.

League age 6-8 (BASEBALL): Saturday, Feb. 9, 1-3 pm
League age 9-12 (BASEBALL): Sunday, Feb. 10, 1-3 pm
Softball: Saturday, Feb. 16, 12-2 pm
All Baseball and Softball Makeups: Saturday, Feb. 16, 2-4 pm

Players should bring their own bats, helmets and gloves.

While the preference is for players to attend their designated slots, the priority is for the league to see each player. If it is only possible to attend a session outside your assigned time, we will accommodate your player. League ages are determined based on your child's age on Aug. 31, 2019 (baseball) or Dec. 31, 2019 (softball).

BCLL determines division placements based on skill. The general expectation is that only league age 4-6 will play in rookie ball. If your child is league age 7 (ie, they will be 7 on Aug. 31) and you feel they would be best placed in the Rookie division, please contact BCLL ([email protected]) ahead of draft to make us aware of this preference. These players must attend skills evaluation in order for BCLL to be in position to honor this request.

Conversely, any league age 6 player (or younger) who wishes to play in machine pitch must attend skills evaluation. The league will make the final determination. This is the case for any and all requests -- please do not make an assumption about which division your child will be placed.
